Mimoza Haska Crowned Winner of the 15th Annual Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest Presented by Charm Weddings and Quilted Northern®

BOCA RATON, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Mimoza Haska of Surfside Beach, SC was named the winner of the 15^th Annual Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest presented by Charm Weddings and Quilted Northern® at the design showcase.

Twelve finalists showcased their work at the contest’s finale event held in New York City. Designer contestants crafted dresses out of nothing more than Quilted Northern® toilet paper, tape, glue and needle and thread, and this year’s 1,576 entrants were up to the challenge.

Paige Davis of television’s “Trading Spaces” hosted the event while Laura Gawne and Susan Bain of Charm Weddings, Charles Ekenga, Senior Brand Manager for the Quilted Northern® team, Monte Durham of “Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta”, Jeremiah Brent of “Nate and Jeremiah by Design” and Zanna Roberts Rassi, Fashion Editor at Large for Marie Claire served as judges for this year’s contest and selected the winning designs.

This year, contestants entered within three categories, including Traditional, Modern and Cultural. At the runway show, a winner was chosen from each category with the judges determining first, second and third place overall. CharmWeddings.com began the annual contest 15 years ago based on the popular bridal shower game. As the contest has grown in popularity, so has the number of entries and level of competition each year.

Mimoza Haska of Surfside Beach, SC won the Grand Prize of $10,000 and was joined at the finale event by 11 other contest finalists from across the country. The second place winner was Donna Vincler of Brentwood, TN and she received a check for $5,000. Third place winner Susan Nicholson of Kennesaw, GA received $2,500.

Designers used between 12 and 123 rolls of Quilted Northern Ultra Plush®, Quilted Northern Ultra Soft & Strong® and Quilted Northern® Eco Comfort™ toilet paper to create each stunning wedding design.
